Pushchair Accessories including Buggyboards, Parasols and Raincovers
There are a number of accessories that may not come as standard with your pushchair, or may simply need upgrading or replacing. In this section we bring you details of the various ‘add-ons’ available for most make of pushchair or travel system that may make your life that little bit easier when pushing baby. We will also shortly be bringing you an excellent price comparison service for all accessories, either generic or specific to a particular pushchair brand.
In the first instance we thoroughly recommend looking at the Accessories section of Mothercare here or Kiddicare here. As well as stocking accessories from all leading brands they have a number of ‘own-brand’ products such as parasols and raincovers which can be used on a variety of pushchairs.

Buggy boards - ideal if you have an older child who can’t sit in a buggy for long! AIt is usually fitted behind the back wheels of most standard folding buggies. It provides a sturdy platform on wheels, on which an older child can stand for a ride. Kiddy boards are the alternatives which are used to fit on the back of standard pushchairs or prams.
Shopping bags - simply clip onto the back of the pushchair. If you are worried about overbearing your pushchair with shopping there are pushchair weights which you can buy; these attach to your pushchair front wheels to make the pushchair more stable.
Footmuffs/cosytoes/buggysnuggles - are a winter essential really. These all attach to the seat of your pushchair and usually have a removable top section so that you can use the bottom section as a pushchair liner if desired.
Fleece lambskins can fit pushchairs and car seats. As well as serving to keep baby warm in winter they also have a cooling effect in Summer.
A raincover will keep your baby dry in wet weather, while a raincape is a lightweight, zip-up showerproof cover with a hood that fits around both child and pushchair.
During the Summer in particular, or for family holidays to warmer climes, a sunshade (which also serves as an insect net) or Parasol (which
clips onto the side of the pushchair) is essential.
Pram and buggy toys are numerous and clip over the side of the pushchair to amuse baby while out and about while Baby Changing bags are available (in increasing numbers) so that mum can look funky when out and about!
